Ensure the injectors chains beam performance for both protons and ions (Linac4-PSB, PS, SPS, Linac3/LEIR)
- Coordinate the commissioning of the required beams to their pre-LS2 performance; Manage the ramp up of the LIU beam parameters to the nominal performance;
- Establish performance, reproducibility and availability targets, with milestones. Define adequate tools for performance tracking;
- Analyse and improve injectors chains efficiency, e.g. LHC beam preparation impact on LHC turn-around-time; Impact on controls and timing system and automatisation;
- Follow-up achievement, discuss, launch actions and solve issues;
- Recommend additional upgrades to be implemented in (E)YETSs or LS3, as needed;
- Identify the potential of LIU sequential reach and ensure operational deployment to fixed target beams;
- Oversee the development of new beams and their integration into the injector complex, where desired;
Establish and keep up to date priorities in the yearly machine development program, defining main objectives and milestones. Follow their progress and results
Provide necessary inputs to the Yearly Injectors Schedule definition
Report to the IEFC / LMC. Report to LS2c until the end of the LS2 phase
Include, at a later stage (after pre-LS2 beam demonstration), other facilities (AD/ELENA/ISOLDE)
